Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says he wants to “Make America Healthy Again.” He warns about ultra-processed foods and calls for diets full of whole, real ingredients. But now, as Health Secretary, he’s praising Mom’s Meals — a company delivering taxpayer-funded meals to sick and elderly Americans that are full of additives, sodium, and the same ultra-processed ingredients he claims are making us sick.

This is more than hypocrisy. It’s a betrayal of the very people the government is supposed to be helping.

Millions of low-income seniors, cancer patients, and people with diabetes rely on Medicaid and Medicare for support — and they deserve real, nourishing food, not heat-and-eat meals packed with preservatives and chemical additives. Public dollars should support public health, not backdoor deals with food corporations selling junk under the label of "dietitian approved."

We call on Secretary Kennedy and the Department of Health and Human Services to immediately review and raise the nutritional standards required for any company receiving government funding to feed vulnerable populations. Every American deserves access to real, wholesome food — especially those who depend on public programs to survive.

Stop the double standard. If Kennedy truly believes in the power of whole foods, it’s time for his policies to reflect it.
