Stop self employed pay cut for Evri courier’s

Stop self employed pay cut for Evri courier’s
The Issue
Evri have decided to cost cut and couriers are being effected, but not every courier only the higher paid ones that are being punished, Evri lifestyle couriers are paid per parcel delivered on there round, this is set by someone in a office looking at a map and done by postcode, none off there people actually know or have driven these rounds some off which are local, in city’s or the worst all rural, these rural ones have farms or track roads or even miles between one house and the next none off these factors are taken into account, we all use our own transport some are cars or vans but these break down we have to pay for it we pay our own fuel, where other companies supply vans and fuel card and pay a lot more.
Evri already have a bad rep doing this is only gonna force couriers to look else where and unfortunately customers will suffer as a result, parcels won’t get delivered, go missing, or end up in a massive backlog in a cold damp depo somewhere, there’s a lot really good couriers that deliver and the company needs to acknowledge them 9 years I’ve been with them and this pay cut takes it to rates 7 years ago.
With the cost off living, fuel prices and other increases in rent electricity and council tax hundreds of thousand people are already struggling, for Evri to do a pay cut and not a pay rise is disgusting for a company, we don’t just have the basic cost off living to worry about but we have to take into account wear and tear on our vehicles, if our cars/vans aren’t on the road we don’t earn anything, that impacts on every part off living food, electricity, rent, vehicle all this hits our pocket hard at the best off times.
Please help stop this pay cut and get our rates reinstated or even better rates, we need a member off higher management to go up and down the country to look at the rounds and especially rural ones to see the working conditions and why we need the higher rates compared to city or town couriers, but also city/town routes need to be reevaluated rates haven’t gone up in the past 5 years at lest it’s time for change.
Please support us in our fight for justice.
