Stop SB 3: We Are Texas – Defend Our Rights, Our Cities, and Our Freedom

The Issue

We Are Texas.
We are the heartbeat of this state.
We are the mothers waking up at dawn, the fathers grinding through double shifts.
We are the caregivers, the veterans, the truckers, the small business owners.
We are teachers, students, barbers, cashiers, artists, and community builders.
We were called essential when Texas needed us—but now, they treat us like criminals for needing our essentials.

---

SB 3 is a direct violation of our rights.

Senate Bill 3 is more than a ban on THCa, Delta-8, and hemp-derived wellness products.
It’s a full-on assault on the freedom of everyday Texans—those of us who rely on natural alternatives for pain, anxiety, sleep, PTSD, and quality of life.

And worse, it rips power from local communities. Cities like Austin, San Marcos, Killeen, and Elgin voted to decriminalize cannabis.
We used our voices. We signed petitions. We protested peacefully. We voted.
And the state turned its back on us.

---

This isn’t about public safety. It’s about political control.

They claim these products are dangerous.
But let’s tell the truth:
Peanuts, Tylenol, caffeine, sugar, salt, alcohol, tobacco, opiates, and amphetamines—all legal. All widely available. All known to cause illness, addiction, or death.
But hemp? Cannabis? Something natural that heals, calms, and helps people live better lives? That’s what they ban?

It’s not about protection. It’s about profit. About power. About silencing the people who’ve found a better way.

---

Prohibition doesn’t stop the people. It never has.

We’ve seen this story before.
Prohibition failed 100 years ago, and it’s failing again today.
It doesn’t stop demand. It doesn’t solve problems.
It just criminalizes the poor. The working class. The voiceless.

It punishes the exact same people who’ve held this state together during its hardest times.
While corporations and pharmaceutical giants profit, we are being thrown in jail for a plant.

---

We are the people. And we demand:

That Governor Greg Abbott veto SB 3 immediately

That our cities and counties be allowed to govern themselves

That natural alternatives not be criminalized

That the people’s votes, voices, and well-being be respected, not erased

---

This is more than a petition. This is a movement.

We are not criminals.
We are not addicts.
We are not disposable.

We are essential. We are educated. We are experienced. We are parents, workers, and warriors.

And we are done being ignored.

---

We are Texas. And we will not be silenced.

We will speak. We will organize. We will resist.
We will vote. We will build. We will rise.
And we will win.

Sign this petition. Share it. Tell your story.
Let the world know—we’re not backing down.

Because We Are Texas—and the people are still in charge.
