Time is running out to help the hundreds of hoarded & neglected animals at SAHARA formerly SA Dog Rescue! 
The owners/founders of SAHARA, Carole Morris & Shane Jones, were convicted of animal cruelty & neglect in November 2022. In September 2022, their 'rescue' had been placed on a 12 month supervision order, including regular visits from the RSPCA.  Morris & Jones were also ordered not to have anything to do with running or managing SAHARA for those 12 months. 

Carole Morris & Shane Jones have consistently defied the court's orders and HAVE CONTINUED TO RUN & MANAGE SAHARA since the day they were convicted and they've been completely enabled by SAHARA's 'board' which consists of four of Morris and Jones' close, personal & complicit friends. Animals are still being hoarded and neglected over two of Morris & Jones' privately owned properties at Morgan & Black Springs SA, with the vast majority of animals still not being allowed to be rehomed. 
  
The RSPCA have CONTINUED TO SEIZE NEGLECTED ANIMALS FROM SAHARA'S PROPERTIES! More charges for animal welfare breaches are pending! 

SAHARA are a registered charity but HAVE NOT SUBMITTED THEIR FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS FOR OVER 2 YEARS! This is a breach of the ACNC legislation. 
Their last financial report showed that SAHARA had $2,299,094.00 in their accounts. They refuse to tell the public what they've done with that money. 

The despicable behaviour of SAHARA's 'board' includes KNOWINGLY allowing animals to continue to be hoarded and neglected on Morris & Jones' properties at Morgan & Black Springs; misleading or outright lying to potential adopters about an animal's history, health and vet records; allowing animals to continue to suffer from neglect & abuse despite RSPCA animal management orders; not submitting legally required financial information; allowing legal offences to continue despite warnings from authorities; allowing Morris & Jones to continue to dictate all decisions of the board in regard to animal husbandry, animal welfare, adoptions, finances, etc.

The ongoing actions of SAHARA's 'board' are an absolute breach of SA's Associations Incorporations Act and they need to be held completely accountable and immediately removed!

The court orders for the supervision of SAHARA as a rescue/charity EXPIRE IN SEPTEMBER 2023! 
The court orders preventing Morris & Jones from running a rescue EXPIRE IN NOVEMBER 2023!  

SAHARA have future bequests of almost a million dollars coming in soon! Carole Morris & Shane Jones must not be allowed to get their hands on that money which will only enable them to buy, hoard, abuse and neglect more animals!

WE'RE DEMANDING THAT THE RELEVANT AUTHORITIES IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA USE THEIR LEGAL & LEGISLATED POWERS TO FORCE THE REMOVAL OF SAHARA'S CURRENT 'BOARD' MEMBERS AND TAKE OVER TOTAL ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT OF SAHARA INCORPORATED, INCLUDING A COMPLETE FORENSIC AUDIT OF ALL THEIR FINANCIAL RECORDS!
