The land the Hopi and Navajo tribes inhabit is filled with valuable resources which can be used to propel the tribes forward. Both reservations are already faced with socioeconomic issues that have stunted development for years. The continued transfer of natural assets away from the tribes would further stunt growth, even as the tribes move to create a thriving society.

I just signed the following petition addressed to: S.2109.IS.

The bill should not be allowed to progress in any form. Any consideration of the bill or its components will be deemed an inadequate response.

The land the Hopi, and Navajo tribes, inhabit is filled with valuable resources which can be used to propel the tribes forward. Both reservations are already faced with socioeconomic issues that have stunted development for years. The continued transfer of natural assets away from both tribes would further inhibit growth, undermining the effort to create thriving tribal communities.
