Stop Rogue Landlord from housing vulnerable tenants in industrial estate

The Issue

Planning permission is being sought for a 16 person HMO (House of multiple occupation) in an busy industrial estate which plans to house vulnerable tenants in inadequate commercial premises. The only access to the accommodation is via a heavily used industrial estate road with no pedestrian pavement. As a result the perspective tenants would have to negotiate through a multitude of commercial vans, trucks and cars also using this roadway.

This raises health and safety concerns due to the volume of traffic (including reversing trucks and vans) together with potentially vulnerable pedestrians, including children, to navigate this hap-hazard and dangerous gauntlet. Needless to say this is an accident waiting to happen which has to be avoided at any cost before somebody is seriously injured or worse, killed.

We cannot allow a rogue landlord to put profit before public safety.

A planning application has been lodged to this effect and we need your support to ensure that it is refused once and for all and to never be applied for again.
