Good Morning Fellow Residents, Commuters and Petition Supporters
THE UPGRADE OF FIFTEENTH AVE AND THE RAPID TRANSIT BUS LANES WILL IMPACT THIS INTERSECTION
I have sent an email to both Mr Nathan Hagarty MP for Leppington requesting an update on the progress regarding the Fifteenth Ave upgrade.
SEE BELOW
Good Morning Mr Hagarty MP FOR LEPPINGTON
I am writing to you to ask for an Update regarding the progress of plans for the upgrade of the road and the rapid transit corridor to the Western Sydney Airport.
Also I would like to ask you to indicate how far the $370 million dollars in funding will be able to build the proposed road.
As you may be aware the Mayor of Liverpool has stated that it costs $40 million dollars a kilometre to build a 4 lane road which has created doubt in the Community as to how far the funding will go.
Could you please advise if this is correct or if the Mayor of Liverpool is using some Rubbery Figures ?
CLARIFICATION REGARDING FIGURES QUOTED BY THE MAYOR OF LIVERPOOL COUNCIL
I have also sent an email to Mr Ned Mannoun Mayor of Liverpool for information also.
I have also requested clarification of the costs per kilometre to build a 4 lane road due to the concerns, confusion and I believe unnecessary doubts created in March 2023 when the Mayor of Liverpool posted that the costs to build the road and rapid transit buslanes would be between $40 to $60 million dollars per kilometre.

THE COMMUNITY NEEDS CERTAINTY NOT DOUBT AND CONFUSION
With the distance from Cowpasture Rd to new Western Sydney Airport being approximately 20 kilometres it would mean that the $370 million dollars in funding promised by the NSW State Labor Government would only fund between 6.5 to 9 kilometres of road at the cost of $40 to $60 million dollars per kilometre as quoted by the Mayor of Liverpool in his FB post in March 2023.
Are the figures correct or was this a claim to create confusion, doubt, despair and uncertainty during the election campaign?
Let's hope that I receive a reply from the Mayor of Liverpool as he has ignored the majority of my emails over the last 18 months.
I will keep you informed of the progress regarding this matter as information comes to hand.
