Stop Rishi's trans-rights reforming

Stop Rishi's trans-rights reforming
Why this petition matters
Rishi Sunak has revealed plans to radically "gut" trans-protection laws detailed in the Equality Act of 2010. This legally protects transgender individuals from discrimination in the workplace, and allows them to freely access emergency and living services they may otherwise have been rejected from before this act was put in place. (E.g, Woman's shelters, same-sex bathrooms)
This is the plan from the United Kingdom's newly 'elected' PM, who previously stated that "It is important to have compassion and respect for people’s views." and "prejudice against trans people is wrong."
Rishi Sunak's radical reformation cannot happen. The introduction of this forces trans individuals to declare their biological sex as their gender identity, which the LGBTQI+ community has fought so hard to overcome all over the world. Time and time again we have seen these tyrannical takeovers in government throughout history, which does nothing but harm and distress vulnerable communities.
We cannot let this happen. It is important we allow human beings to live, regardless of their biological sex and gender identity. Women are women. Men are men.
By signing this petition, you potentially stand with thousands of people fighting against Rishi Sunak and Conservatives catastrophic views. We must protect transgender individuals, even if you are not directly affected. We aim to put a complete stop to this drastic change in the Equality Act.
