Stop Rishi changing the Equality Act of 2010 for trans individuals

Stop Rishi changing the Equality Act of 2010 for trans individuals
The Issue
Rishi plans to change the equality act 2010 which will impact legal protections for trans people from discrimination in the UK.
Sunak is planning To review the Equality Act to make it clear that sex means biological sex rather than gender. The current act protects trans people regardless of medical transition or if they have a gender recognition certificate.
This change would put trans people at substantial risk especially trans women .This will cost lives if put through. Taking us back in time.
This would take away the right for trans women and men to use the bathroom that identity as but also hospital wards and shelter .Reports say Rishi is planning to give parents greater rights when it comes to Sex education RSE classes- this could mean some children will not be told about transgender and not be given the materials they may need to find help.
We must take action now before it gets too late. Transgender individuals deserve the same rights as everyone else.
