The issue
BRITEX carpet cleaners are available for 24hr hire at Woolworths, Coles, Bunnings and IGA.
At around $40 per day they do a wonderful job!
But...
At 86-88 decibels they are TOO LOUD for extended periods without hearing protection. 4-6 hours per day is the recommended level of use without hearing protection. With a typical hire period of 24 hour a customer wants to maximize it's use.
Both Britex and the supermarkets that stock them refuse to include noise warnings on their products. Britex refuse to supply hearing protection as an optional extra.
Parents should know that these machines are noisy and users including children should be wearing hearing protection around them.
