Calderdale has become overrun with joy riders. They are breaking the traffic rules with rash driving and driving noisy vehicles and becoming a danger to road safety. People are modifying their cars and installing loud silencers. Few young adults with off-road vehicles (noisy motorcycles and three-wheelers) are making life difficult.

All age groups people are living in our society and it’s becoming a serious issue when someone is not well in the family. Sometimes it’s painful when at midnight a car ran outside of your house with loud engine noise and it ruins your night after a hectic day at work.

As per the law, the legal limit is 72dBs for cars registered since 2016. And the cars registered after 2007 and before 2016 should be no louder than 74dB.

For too long, rowdy drivers have been able to get away with disturbing our communities with illegal noisy vehicles. It’s time we clamp down on this nuisance, banish the boy racer, and restore peace and quiet to local streets.

It's time to come together and combat the anti-social elements who are making roads dangerous. We need action from our council to counter these elements and implement measures to protect our right to enjoy our homes in peace and quiet. Please sign this petition!!
