A New Jersey based utility company, PSEG, has commenced a major construction project in East Hampton Town and Village installing utility poles up to 61 feet high and transmission lines transmitting triple the current voltage output up to 33 kilovolts; at times 20 to 25 feet from our children's bedrooms.  This large project extends six miles through small residential neighborhoods and designated historic and scenic areas.

The project DOES NOT conform to the approved East Hampton Town Comprehensive Plan and the adopted Designated Areas Of Scenic Significance.  Furthermore, this project did not receive any input from the Towns professional Planning Department.  Proper protocol was not followed.
