Stop Privately Owned Building Landlords From Turning Common Areas and Dwellings Into Private Areas

The Issue

Landlords of privately owned buildings can restrict any visitor from entering the building against  the tenant's wishes and as entering a tenants dwelling without any warning. A class action lawsuit was filed against New York City from previous trespass arrests because of this loophole in the tenants rights law.  Outside of NYC and other states, this issue still remains silent and the abuse of power from landlords still continue.
