It is costing our country £115,000 each year for each living former prime minister, and soon enough, there will be ten of them. That's an increasingly unsustainable financial burden on our nation, essentially draining public resources that could otherwise be directed towards pressing issues like education, healthcare, or infrastructure improvements.

This scheme, introduced to support them in public duties, often gets exploited, turning into a lifetime financial advantage rather than helping fulfill necessary duties. Many ex-prime ministers secure lucrative employment or lucrative speaking tours post-office, raking in substantial incomes and negating the need for public financial support.

By reallocating these funds, our government could improve public services, invest in renewable energy, or support families in need. It's time for us to build a future where public funds are responsibly and wisely used for societal betterment, not for financially supporting individuals who have already had the privilege of leading our country.

We demand the reform of this expense scheme to ensure it is fair and justified, and where necessary, ended entirely. Former leaders who continue to earn significantly should not rely on public money when those resources can serve a far greater purpose and help countless British citizens.
