I am the mum to a five-year-old SEN girl. 
my daughter is severely autistic and non-verbal. She struggles with day-to-day life but her favourite thing to do is go to play areas and climb the slides and bounce on trampolines and Bouncy castles. 
Alot of this, she’s not able to do due to restrictions of not taking your socks off. my daughter has a range of sensory issues and therefore will refuse to wear shoes and socks. This means she has to miss out on a lot of things due to the restrictions in place at most places. 
She was asked  to leave at a play area a couple of months ago, due to the fact she was not able to walk up the slide with her socks off. I had made sure with three members of staff that this was okay before taking her, because if you are a SEN parent, you will understand the meltdowns that come with having to remove your child from a situation they want to be in. 
My daughter is allowed to go to 2 play areas as they are fine with her expressing yourself as she wants.

I understand the health and safety hazards and the risk that this can come with, however, I am petitioning for places such as play areas, bouncy castles, trampolines, and really anywhere made for children, to ask SEN parents to sign a waiver or a contract saying that they will not sue a company, and they take responsibility of whatever happens. 
my daughter likes to go out and explore however we are restricted due to places turning us away. 
I understand a lot of places also have SEN sessions, however, a lot of the restrictions still stand.

my daughter was invited to a birthday party and it is at gravity, and you have to wear socks. I rang head office and they spoke to the manager at the place and they said under no circumstances is this allowed. I explained I will sign something to say I will take liability if anything wants to happen to her, however this has been shut down.

it is awful and disheartening when I have to take my daughter away from things that she wants to do. 

I would really like to see change for this as for the past three years we have been so restricted and haven’t been able to do a lot with my daughter. One of the play areas that let her explore how she likes is 30 minutes away and the other one is nearly 2 hours away. However we make this journey just to let her explore

i will happily sign waivers, contracts, anything to say I take full responsibility for my daughter. 
please help me with this petition, whether you are a SEN parent or not. Hopefully we can make a change
