To all Dove Canyon residents, please sign and share petition with other residents to support. This petition is not against pickleball players. If there is true widespread and long-term demand for pickleball in our community beyond a small vocal group, the Board should conduct a validation study and consider solutions that does not infringe on the rights of other residents. The Board should not simply base their decision on the least resistance or personal observations of tennis court usage.

Issue #1: Stop more pickleball expansion to tennis court #2, which infringes on the rights of tennis players (click for rationale and letter to Board), defaces the tennis court with painted obtrusive lines, and creates more noise pollution to nearby homes. 

Issue #2: Hold the HOA Board accountable for their apparent failure to exercise due diligence in determining the negative impact of adding more pickleball courts to nearby homes, potentially devaluing these homes, and exposing the HOA to litigation expenses affecting all Dove Canyon residents.

Update 1/19/23: 
Per 1/17/23 HOA meeting, the Board dismissed our plea with no consideration. We sent a follow-up letter requesting expansion suspension pending an independent study with quantifiable data to determine actual court usage and needs by interested parties - both current and projected. We believe the Board failed to exercise due diligence and based their decision on personal “observations” as they openly admitted. We also asked for a full disclosure on the estimate and details for a pickleball facility, which the Board claims they have conducted, but cost-prohibitive. We also advised the Board they should suspend all expansion because they failed to consider the negative impact to homes closest to the expansion court.
