Scent should be for the person who purchased it, not for everything and everyone they touch afterwards, nor contaminating the foods and products we buy.

Strong, overly scented laundry detergents and softeners/boosters are causing those with allergies, and sensitivities, to suffer. Including babies, children, and pets.

These scents are so strong, they transfer upon touch, they engulf personal space (ex: an entire room, shaking hands), and are even left behind on chairs and booths. (they transfer from the seat to the next person). There is no need for scents to be THIS strong. 

Even the foods and products we buy at the store can smell and taste like detergent fragrances.

Hospitals and Doctor's offices can suffocate the allergic.

These scents cause great harm to those who are sensitive and allergic. We can not go outside nor open our windows while a neighbor is doing laundry. We can not hug, or be in a room with our friends who use them. It invades our personal space (just as cigarette smoke would). And if we brush up against someone or sit in a chair after them, we bring it home with us. And if washed in these scents just once, they don't wash out. (ex: washed by a friend, or clothes from Goodwill)

It's not possible to avoid, they are everywhere.
