As members of this community, it is our duty to help those in need. By requiring a permit for this basic act of kindness, the city is punishing and harassing its own citizens for doing the right thing. This bylaw creates unnecessary barriers to providing aid and goes against our fundamental values as human beings.

We call on the city council to repeal this bylaw and allow residents to freely help those in need without fear of fines or harassment. Thank you for considering our petition."
