Stop Online Predators and Protect Our Children

Stop Online Predators and Protect Our Children
The Issue
It's deeply disturbing the increasing number of children being exploited online. The internet, while a powerful tool for learning and communication, has unfortunately become a hunting ground for predators. According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), in 2019 alone, they received more than 16.9 million reports related to suspected child sexual exploitation. This is an alarming figure that cannot be ignored.
Children are our future and it's our responsibility to ensure their safety. We need stricter laws and regulations against online predators who exploit innocent children. We must also demand better security measures from companies that provide platforms where these heinous acts can occur.
It's time we take action against this growing menace in our society. Let us unite in protecting our children from online predators by demanding stronger laws and improved security measures on digital platforms.
ATTENTION EVERYONE!!
Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, Aunt's, Uncles, Brothers, Sisters, Nieces, Nephews, Friends If not now when? When will we take a stand against those who are determined to hurt our children? When will we do all that is possible to protect our children? When will we demand those who can stop the abuse and exploitation of our children online make the changes to protect our children?
Now is the time! We can't wait for another child to be forever harmed..
Social media platforms must make this a top priority. Our Government must make this a top priority.
We must protect our children. It is imperative that we all insist that we hold those who abuse and exploit our children accountable.
It is imperative that our Government makes the changes necessary to give the men and women who fight against the exploitation of our children the resources that are needed to ban explicit content online, have the ability Convict those who pray on our children, give the Victims Justice and the services they need to move forward.
Children are being exploited and abused every day.
Parents and Children are reporting this exploitation and see no justice, leaving them hopeless.
Children continue to have this content shared and viewed with no sign of stopping. We must put those who can make changes on notice that it is no longer acceptable to ignore what is happening to our children.
We must insist that the powers that be devote time, money, and energy to stopping those who hurt our children.
We must band together!
Let the People sound the alarm that this is no longer acceptable in our society to ignore what is happening everyday to our children online.
Education must be provided to our children to know how to identify and report those who try to exploit them. We can't afford to not have conversations with our children about the dangers of this world online and off.
Children who create a online account on any platform should have a mandatory course to educate how to identify these predators and avoid exploitation.
There is no excuse why this can't be done.
Sign this petition to tell the social media platforms and our representatives it is no longer acceptable for us to allow these predators to function online. Content must be removed immediately. Predators must know that if they exploit our children there will be consequences, stiff consequences!
We support KOSA
As a devoted constituent, I hope you watched the Senate Judiciary Hearing on January 31 at which CEOs of Meta, X, Tik Tok, Snap, and Discord testified.
In light of this hearing, we want to ensure that you are aware of the Kids Online Safety Act (S.1409) which now has 65 co-sponsors, including Leader Schumer. It is the strongest proposed legislation in Congress to protect children online.
The hearing revealed that Big Tech is not taking initiative to protect children online despite the harms that their platforms cause. Mark Zuckerberg suggested, under oath, that social media is not directly related to poor mental health outcomes, as parents whose children died due to the harms on social media platforms sat just rows behind him. The evidence suggests otherwise.
Social media platforms have become hubs for child sexual abuse material (CSAM, aka child pornography), sextortion schemes, deadly drugs, eating disorder material, suicide instructions, and other harmful, even fatal, traps because the platforms are dangerous BY DESIGN. This harmful content has the potential to reach every child if you do not take action.
The children and parents in EVERY state need decisive action from you. We ask that you please support KOSA please, we ask that you be a leader and advocate for America’s children.
P.S. NCMEC take it down needs to join Twitter /X and telegram these platforms have content that needs to be removed.
Dedicated to Kane and L.!
