The proposed reduced conflict intersections near Williston by the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) will increase accidents and fatalities. As a resident of this area, I am deeply concerned about the safety risks these intersections pose to our community. Studies have shown that while reduced conflict intersections can decrease certain types of collisions, they often lead to confusion and increased rear-end crashes in rural areas like ours (source: Federal Highway Administration).
