Having seen the endless stream of people fleeing Europe for the UK, a former Prime Minister set in stone that 0.7% of our GDP will go overseas in Foreign Aid. This at first was seen as a worthwhile yearly generous way of helping countries in need of our Aid. But huge amounts go to China and India, both have far busier and wealthier incomes than the UK. So I propose that this should stop and a quarter the total, of this being donated to more deserving countries, the rest to be used to help genuine refugees and asylum seekers arriving in the UK. It would also allow the Labour Govnt keep its pledge to WASPI’s and OAP’s Winter Fuel Allowance.
