Stop misogyny against female public figures
Stop misogyny against female public figures
The Issue
We can no longer stand by and be complacent as women candidates and elected officials are attacked for their gender.
The outrageous misogyny and disrespect coming from the likes of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are unacceptable and have no place in our society.
Beck and Limbaugh recently called Senator Mary Landrieu a "high-class prostitute." Read their full remarks here.
No longer will we be silent as anti-woman figures tear down our women leaders, using terms like "prostitute, whore, ice queen, and Jezebel."
Speak out against sexism and misogyny today and help us support our female public officials, who we so desperately need to guide our country.
The accompanying video is WCF President/CEO Siobhan "Sam" Bennett speaking out against the recent attacks against Martha Coakley, Sen. Olympia Snowe and Sen. Susan Collins. Sam describes her unfortunate encounter with blatant sexism during her Congressional race.
