As most people know, Michael Hayes has been Rockville High School's Athletic Director for years. This past August, Our principal Mrs. Rhoshanda Pyles sent out a newsletter saying he had been placed on administrative leave with no information. 

Many of our athletes have voiced their discomfort and unease with Mr. Hayes's behavior. His actions have created an environment that is not productive or helpful to the well-being of our student-athletes. Our school should be able to be a safe space for athletes as for some it is their only outlet, and allowing Mr. Hayes to return would undermine this. 
 

We believe that a thorough and transparent investigation should be fully conducted to understand the situation at hand. We strongly encourage the school and county administration to consider the voices of student-athletes who have been impacted by Mr. Hayes's behavior. 
 

By signing this petition, We as a community want you to hear our request to ensure that Mr. Michael Hayes does not return to his position as Rockville's Athletic Director.  As a school, our main priority should be to maintain a respectful and secure environment where all student-athletes can perform without fear or discomfort.
