Megacon (Specifically the one in Ireland and the UK) used ai generated backdrops in its conventions and for a space that should be about supporting creativity and artists ai should have no place there. Megacon can certainly afford to use actually artists work and shouldn't rely on AI. These backgrounds make megacon feel cheap and lazy. Ai should not be used in these creative spaces especially not one of Irelands largest conventions.
