Stop measurement violations at events with the American Miniature Horse Association

Stop measurement violations at events with the American Miniature Horse Association
The Issue
The AMHA was built on the tenants' of creating an association, run by members, who own, breed and show the American Miniature Horse which measures no more than 34".
Year after year at the AMHA World Show we watch those in charge of upholding the values and bylaws of the AMHA ignore what is right in favor of influence peddling. Each year as height protests are submitted, egregious actions occur such as removal of the horse from the show grounds upon protest of height (this should be grounds for immediate banning of all future participation) to protesting their own animal to ensure that nobody is present for remeasurement, and that they are able to use influence to pass the measurement of their animal in private.
These tactics are especially egregious when it's the same individual repeatedly engaging in this manner.
This organization needs to engage in fairness of competition, upholding their own bylaws - or the current board needs to step down.
Further, any measurement obtained during a dispute that exceeds the 34" height the animal must have its AMHA registration revoked, and the participant attempting to show said animal should not be permitted to participate in the remainder of the show and should be reviewed for ethical violations under the AMHA bylaws.
We firmly believe that if the rules were upheld, those who have built businesses intent upon the breeding and exhibiting of stellar examples of the miniature horse would be inclined to return, and participation once the playing field is leveled and is fair will increase. This is a winning proposition for the AMHA and the American Miniature Horse. Please sign this petition to encourage our leadership within the AMHA to do what is ethical and right as a first step.
