TrevorSpace is an online community for LGBTQ+ people ages 13-25. It says specifically in its Community Guidelines that "TrevorSpace is not a hookup site - don’t use it to solicit sexual encounters, conversations, or partners."

As many users on the site are aware, it has become overrun with romantic "matchmakers," in which mostly people under the age of 18 post pictures and information about themselves in search of a romantic partner. Because of this there have been instances of people over the age of 18 (ADULTS) making advances on those under the age of 18 (CHILDREN). This is not only clearly morally wrong, but it goes against TrevorSpace's explicit guideline that "if you are over 18, you cannot use TrevorSpace to solicit romantic or sexual relationships with users under 18."

The mods have done nothing to stop this despite the countless threads started asking for romantic matchmaking threads to be removed from the website. 

We all know that it can be hard for many young queer people to deal with the fact that they will not be able to date in real life during middle and high school, but that does not mean they should find a partner on this website. Ultimately, romantic matchmaking threads put queer youth at risk for predators. Furthermore, it is simply not healthy to develop online romantic relationships at such a young age, and will hinder these people in future relationships.
