Stop mandating Xello for students

The Issue

In the state of Wisconsin, all students grades 6-12 are required to use Xello by law. For example, some students have family farms that they are going to continue working at. Therefore making Xello’s career recommendations unnecessary. Some students, especially graduating seniors, already know what they are going to do after high school.
Xello lessons are also long and make you do more things that seem like you could do without to complete them. One of the 7th grade lessons makes you find an employer who is hiring for a previously picked career from your saved careers. It is not hard, it just seems like a lot of work for a state mandated online program. I know that it wants you to explore career paths but it is a lot of unnecessary research that nobody will probably use ever again.
This may seem petty and not a real issue and made by a ticked off child. It is. I just don’t want to do my Xello
