Stop Local Permit Parking Price hikes
Stop Local Permit Parking Price hikes
The Issue
Cllr Adam Gregg & Robert McGuin Campaigning against Permit Parking Price Hikes
Dear Local Residents.
We are shocked as you that Labour Kirklees Council have decided to change Lindley Ward permit parking charges from £15 for a life-time of a car to £50 per year. Kirklees Council have also decided to change free passes for visitor permits to £50 per year.
An average car lasts for 8 years, which would have cost you £15 for permit parking now if you had a car for 8 years it would cost you £400!
Many of Lindley Ward permits are near Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Lindley businesses, your local Conservative Team don’t think it’s acceptable that local residents are forced to have permits because without them local residents would struggle parking outside their own home.
Lindley Ward Councillor Cllr Adam Gregg , Local Campaigner Robert McGuin and local residents are backing our campaign against this unjustified permit parking price hike!
Local Conservatives are the main opposition to Labour Kirklees Council and many residents agree that this unacceptable price hike will not only see that you aren’t even guaranteed a parking spot like now but local residents deciding to park elsewhere to avoid forking out money and then causing even more parking issues elsewhere within Lindley Ward.
Kirklees Labour Council have also proposed to end free parking in Lindley on Lidget Street. Over 1,000 local residents have signed Cllr Adam Gregg & Robert McGuin petition, please join local residents, sign at adamgregg.uk/campaigns/petition-save-free-parking-lindley-save-our-local-shops
Kirklees Labour Council also want to force Lindley Ward residents to renew online every year for a permit parking price hike that our local team and Lindley Ward residents don’t want!
P.S Please sign our local petition to stop Kirklees Labour Council pushing through Lindley Ward permit parking and visitor price hikes.
Thank you
