Stop Little Cottonwood Canyon (UT) Gondola!
The Issue
For those who are unaware of what is going on:

Here's another good resource:

Other than individuals who stand to gain financially or politically, I have not seen or heard from anyone who thinks this gondola is a good idea. People who would not use it (taxpayers) do not want it. People who would use it (skiers) do not want it. Locals do not want it.
At this point, it seems that legal measures are they only way to stop it. I'm no expert, but hopefully there is a way that the canyons/forests/mountains can become protected. [Looking for an expert...is it possible to federally protect the land from building something like this?]
One idea is to mimic Zion National Park which has a great system where only shuttle busses operate during peak season. There is no reason a similar bussing system like this could not be used and mitigate most all issues and eliminate the gondola.
There are plenty of other ideas, none that involve a gondola. A re-evaluation needs to be done to consider the best possible option without the gondola being considered. (Officials stated that this has been under consideration for 5 years, so waiting a little bit longer won't hurt them).
