Stop & Listen! Fix Beal City - our kids deserve better!
The Issue
Dear Board of Education,
We, the undersigned members of the Beal City Public School community, are writing to formally express our profound lack of confidence in Superintendent Jason Lundin's leadership of Beal City Public Schools.
As parents, guardians, taxpayers, and advocates for public education, we have a vested interest in the success, stability, and well-being of Beal City Public Schools. Over the past year, we have observed a pattern of decisions and behaviors from the Superintendent that have negatively impacted our students, demoralized staff, and diminished trust within our community.
Our concerns include:
1.Erosion of Trust and Transparency
Communication with the public has been inconsistent, unclear, stifled and controlled Important decisions have been made without collaboration, community input or explanation, contributing to a growing sense of alienation and frustration.
2.Disregard for Staff and Student Well-being
Widespread reports from teachers, support staff, and even students indicate that Superintendent Lundin has failed to foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment.
3. Poor Leadership and Decision Making
Recent administrative actions have appeared reactive rather than strategic, and several major initiatives have either failed or backfired due to lack of planning and stakeholder engagement.
4. Lack of Accountability
When confronted with serious concerns, Superintendent Lundin has shown a pattern of deflection, denial, or blaming others rather than taking responsibility and working toward solutions. He works very hard at looking like the good guy.
We believe that our schools deserve a leader who is capable of uniting the district, communicating openly, and putting the interests of students, staff, and the community first. Sadly, Superintendent Jason Lundin has demonstrated time and again an unwillingness or inability to meet that standard.
We respectfully urge the Board to conduct a formal review of Superintendent Lundin's performance and to take decisive steps toward restoring the trust and integrity that our school district so urgently needs, and indeed, has been known for until now. Follow up questions are welcomed.
Sincerely,
