As most NPHS (North Plainfield High School) students know, we just took the NJSLA (New Jersey Student Learning Assessment). And before finals, we still have to do LinkIt! testing, which is wayy too much testing to cram into these final weeks of school, especially since we've been getting tests left and right basically this whole year. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we are tired of the constant, unnecessary standardized testing. The inventor of standardized testing himself, Frederick J. Kelly, said about his invention, "These tests are too crude to be used and should be abandoned". When even the inventor himself of the tests implemented into our education system disagrees with them, something's not right. We're all burnt out from school and are just eager to taste that sweet sweet summer break, most of us are already studying for finals, and we just took the NJSLA, so why add LinkIt! to the mix?? By signing this petition, you are not only helping me but helping yourself and the entire student body to stand up against this mess of constant testing, so let's take a stance!
