2-Yr-Old is 1st Racehorse Death of Santa Anita Park's 2026 "Autumn Meet"

The CA Horse Racing Board has reported the Musculoskeletal Death in Training of Two-Year-Old Thoroughbred gelding Scam Alert on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Santa Anita Park, which starts its Autumn Meet this Friday, September 25th after being closed since June 14th: https://www.chrb.ca.gov/racing_fatalities_Cat1.aspx

There is already a Protest of Opening Day at Santa Anita Park planned on Saturday, September 26th from 1-3pm at Gate 3.
