California Horse Racing Industry on Life Support -- Share this Petition to END IT Already!

California taxpayers will now fund 23% of the California Horse Racing Board's $17.1 Million annual budget, as the Horse Racing industry continues to nosedive in California (3 operating tracks now vs. 9 in 2024) & nationally (51 tracks closed since 2000); in prior years, it was funded 100% by the California industry.
"This year's state budget was a contentiously fought affair as Gov. Gavin Newsom grappled with a huge budget deficit coupled with massive cuts from the federal government to the state's social service safety net." Dan Ross in Thoroughbred Daily News, July 8, 2026
The California Horse Racing industry is literally on life support. Please keep Sharing this Petition to encourage our California Legislature to give California voters the opportunity to repeal legalized betting on live horse races from the California Constitution and END IT ALREADY! Thank You for your support!
