Stop killing protesters in Iran

Stop killing protesters in Iran
The Issue
As a Canadian-Iranian with deep roots and connections to Iran, I am horrified by the ongoing brutality against protesters in the country. Every day, people are risking their lives to raise their voices for basic human rights and justice, only to be met with violence and repression by the authorities. My family and friends are among the brave citizens affected by the oppressive regime, and their safety is constantly on my mind.
Iran has been witnessing a wave of peaceful protests, where citizens are calling for change and demanding respect for their fundamental freedoms. The Iranian regime’s response has been relentless and brutal: demonstrators are being killed, injured, and unlawfully detained. This blatant disregard for human life and the universal right to peacefully assemble is unacceptable.
According to Amnesty International and other human rights organizations, hundreds of protesters have been killed by security forces. Many more have been arbitrarily arrested, beaten, and subjected to inhumane treatment. This dire situation requires immediate international attention and action to prevent further loss of innocent lives.
We need a comprehensive and coordinated global response to pressure the Iranian government to halt these human rights violations. The United Nations, along with other international bodies, must urgently intervene and hold the Iranian authorities accountable. Sanctions, diplomatic measures, and a powerful, unified voice from the international community can compel change and save lives.
By signing this petition, you are lending your voice to demand immediate action from the Canadian government and international stakeholders to put an end to the killing of protesters in Iran. Stand with us in solidarity with the Iranian people as they courageously fight for their rights. Sign this petition to demand justice, protect lives, and support a future where everyone in Iran can express themselves without fear of persecution.
