This petition was put in place in order to bring awareness to the neglect that took place at Telfair State Prison. Because of this, my son, Clifford L. Bagley Jr. is no longer with us. Warden Jermaine White over Telfair State Prison is set to become regional director July 1st, 2023. 

Unfortunately, we strongly believe that Warden White does not qualify to become regional director because of the unjust treatment at the current facility he oversees. White's mission statement is "To protect Georgians by operating secure facilities and providing opportunities for offender rehabilitation." However, White has failed immensely at protecting inmates by selecting corrupt staff to carry out inhumane and neglectful actions on inmates. 

It would be detrimental to look into past actions of Warden White, starting mainly with the violations of inmates in segregated housing. Not to mention, recent alleged threats and neglecting to report incidents involving staff and inmates to the Georgia Department of Corrections.

To be given a higher responsibility would be a dishonor to citizens who trusted that Warden White would protect Georgians by operating a secure facility because of the simple fact that those lives were not protected, instead taken prematurely because of his neglectful actions. In order to prevent more lives from being taken, we believe that signing this petition will bring more awareness to Telfair State Prison's corrupt actions towards the inmates. We send prayers and love to the families of the inmates that lost their lives. Thank you for your time!
