The Issue

LOVE ALWAYS WINS! In this case, it's ALLIGATOR LOVE!

We demand accountability and justice. Jeremy Hales, YouTuber and former preacher behind What The Hales, has repeatedly displayed vile, hateful behavior. On his platform, he referred to Jewish attorney Bruce Matzkin using the demeaning, antisemitic slur “Deuce Foreskin.” This hateful language exploits long-standing anti-Jewish tropes tied to religious identity and bodily integrity. Rabbi Jacob Bellinsky called it part of a “long-standing pattern of dehumanization,” and Jewish advocacy group Betar also condemned it. Hales’s refusal to apologize or even acknowledge that his words were offensive underscores his intent to demean and harm (flgulfnews.com).

Hales didn’t stop there. His platform is also riddled with aggressive homophobic rhetoric, targeting LGBTQ+ individuals and portraying them as morally corrupt or dangerous. While less widely reported than his antisemitism, these homophobic attacks contribute to an atmosphere of bigotry and intimidation.

And then there’s the bizarre, satirical claim that Hales “sexually abuses alligators” — a parody jab circulating in online communities to highlight how grotesque and absurd his behavior appears to critics. Nobody is accusing him of literally engaging in reptilian romance — the joke is that the alligator has better taste than Hales’s content. This running gag has become shorthand for the wild, unhinged image he’s created for himself online.

Now, Hales has filed a frivolous lawsuit against critics — using the courts to intimidate and silence those who speak out. Legal analysts call it a textbook Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (SLAPP). His lawyer, Randy Shochet, has drawn criticism for filing legally weak arguments that lack basic legal rigor.

We cannot stay silent. Hate speech has real consequences — rising hate crime, eroded public discourse, and deepened fear among already marginalized communities. Jeremy Hales must be held accountable, not become a martyr in his own drama. By signing this petition, we call on YouTube to review his content for hate speech violations. We call on advertisers and sponsors to withdraw support. We urge Florida authorities and relevant legal bodies to investigate his lawsuit and consider anti-SLAPP remedies.

Your signature sends a strong message: antisemitism, homophobia, and — yes — even satirical gator love jokes are unacceptable. We stand with Jewish and LGBTQ+ communities and all who face discrimination. Join us.
