I am a trans person of a multicultural background, and I have become increasingly concerned about the influence of Isaac Butterfield's platform in Gladstone. Allowing someone like Isaac Butterfield, who is known for using his platform to spread misinformation and hate speech, threatens the harmony and safety of our society.

His approach is not just light-hearted comedy—it's harmful. Studies have shown that hate speech and misinformation can significantly increase tension and division within communities. According to a report by the Anti-Defamation Commission, hate speech has real-world consequences and can lead to an increase in hate crimes against minorities.

We need to ensure that platforms do not provide space for harmful narratives that target vulnerable communities. There is a pressing need for content creators to be held accountable for the messages they deliver and the impact they have on society. By asking social media platforms and event venues in Gladstone to thoroughly vet and take actions against those who use their stage for harmful rhetoric, we can work towards a safer community for all.
