Thank you all for contributing your names and for sharing this petition on your social media channels and neighbor networks. We are closing in on 200 signatures and even more visibility—there's no stopping now. 

For anyone in the greater Tucson area—I encourage you in the coming days to hike Brown Mountain when the temps are right—when you get to the top, face West. Take in the serenity and beauty of the Altar Valley. The calmness. The silence. I personally find it impossible to envision a 2000 foot wide superhighway cutting through this powerful and timeless land. It is a horrifying prospect.
