IN RE:  THE MATTER OF PETITION FOR SPECIAL EXCEPTION 

HEXAGON ENERGY OR ANY DBA'S ASSOCIATED, PETITIONER

PETITION IN OPPOSITION

The undersigned raise our voice in opposition to this large solar array.  Although not the same company, a very similar large array was proposed in Marion township and Zionsville (formerly Union Township) in Petition Numbers 21MA-7-155 and 2021 13 SE respectively.  We are opposed for the same and additional concerns which saw those Petitions not receive a single vote from members of those respective Boards of Zoning Appeals.

By signing this Petition, we remonstrate to the proposed Petition before the above board and strongly endorse our opposition to Hexagon Energy Solar Array and any DBA's associated now being proposed as we believe it will have a substantial impact to those in Jackson, Jefferson, Harrison and Center Townships.  Our opposition includes, but is not limited to the following concerns: 

1. The diminishment of residential property values in the area.
2. The diminishment of quality of life in viewing steel and glass as opposed to corn and beans. 
3. A total failure to comply with the Boone County Comprehensive Plan. 
4. The pending environmental hazards to the soils on site as well as the environmental hazards and difficulties in disposal of used, damaged, obsolete solar panels.
5. Removal of productive farm land.
6. The cost benefit analysis of the non-production of solar.
