The Odisha govt has started construction within 100m prohibited zone of Lord Jagannath temple in the name of heritage corridor project. The ongoing project should not destroy or damage the existing heritage. The Archaeological survey of India (ASI) has warned the Odisha government of a possible threat of structural safety of the Jagannath temple.

Now creating more than 20 ft holes within 75 metres radius using earth movers have started impacting the temple structure. If the toilet and other construction could have shifted beyond 100m radius, what harm it could have done to the project?

We may urbanise ourselves and be modern but lets not modernise our heritage & culture. We the citizens of India, request and appeal the authorities to stop this inhuman act as soon as possible.
