Stop ICE From Accessing Your Devices
The Issue
ICE (The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency) has just reactivated a 2 million dollar contract with an Israeli spyware company, (called Paragon Solutions,) with claims that their products can hack any cell phone. This has been done without a warrant, and the government not going to you. If you are somebody who cares about their online privacy, and the government (as well as large companies) not seeing your personal information, then please sign this contract. Everyone with a cellular device would be impacted by this.
If we do not do anything now, then who knows what will happen next. More companies will start asking for private information, and the government could strip every single piece of privacy away from us, until we have nothing left. If things change now, then we would most likely ensure the privacy of people for years to come.
An investigation by the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (University of Toronto,) was made on Paragon Solutions, (link: https://citizenlab.ca/2025/03/a-first-look-at-paragons-proliferating-spyware-operations/.) A few things they found in their investigation were, "potential links between Paragon Solutions and the Canadian Ontario Provincial Police," "Paragon’s infrastructure with Meta, [formerly known as Facebook,] and "Android phones belonging to Paragon targets." Yet that is not even all. This software will allow the government to access everything on your phone, and let them do whatever they want with your device.
If you want to know more about this paragraph then I highly suggest looking at the link I sourced.
Most people do not want strangers, (let alone people they know,) going through their stuff without consent. Especially when it comes to their devices, and phone messages.
This goes against our fourth amendment rights within the U.S. constitution, as the fourth amendment goes against unreasonable searches. The government should not be allowed to search your stuff unless they go to court, get a warrant, and go straight to you. Online privacy has been a huge issue as of current, and it is important for us, as American citizens, to realize our rights, and protest, petition, and spread the word about this.
Please spread the word about this, whether it be through social media posts, talking to friends, or even putting up posters of this petition around your neighborhood.
