Stop Hybe from abusing their own idols
The Issue
In recent times, the K-pop industry has been rocked by revelations concerning the mistreatment of idols at the hands of their management company, Hybe Corporation. This issue has hit home, especially for fans of Enhypen, a popular boy group within the K-pop scene. We all know that Enhypen Heeseung was mistreated and then has got kicked out of his own group. This idols from Enhypen are getting mistreated Sunghoon, Jungwon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki. These idols, who bring joy and entertainment to countless fans worldwide, deserve to be treated with dignity and respect by their own company.
Like many fans, I am deeply disturbed by these reports. Every idol in Hybe should be valued and supported, not just seen as instruments for profit. It’s crucial that we stand together to call for a change in the way Hybe operates and holds itself accountable to ethical standards.
The entertainment industry should be a place of creativity and inspiration, but it cannot thrive if it’s built on the exploitation and unjust treatment of its artists. The idols under Hybe’s management invest so much of their time, energy, and personal lives into their performances for the enjoyment of their fans. They endure grueling schedules and high expectations, yet reports indicate they are being denied the basic respect and care they deserve.
We demand that Hybe implement transparent policies to protect their idols from mistreatment. Regular check-ins, management accountability, and external audits could serve as preliminary steps to ensuring a safer environment for these artists. Providing access to mental health resources and reasonable work hours is non-negotiable for their wellbeing.
I invite you to join me in demanding an end to the mistreatment of idols at Hybe. These young artists deserve support and respect as they pursue their careers in a healthy and safe environment. Every signature counts and helps to amplify their voices. Let’s take a stand for human rights and fairness in the K-pop world.
Please sign this petition to urge Hybe to protect and value their idols more justly.
