STOP HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS IN PAKISTAN AGAINST PTI

The Issue

Dear Members of Parliament,

We, the undersigned, are deeply concerned about the ongoing human rights violations taking place in Pakistan under the current fascist regime.

The Pakistani government, has been targeting journalists, activists, and human rights defenders who dare to speak out against their authoritarian rule. Many have been abducted and forcibly disappeared, with their families left in the dark about their whereabouts and well-being. This has created a climate of fear and intimidation, which is antithetical to a functioning democracy.

The Pakistani government has also been accused of torture and sexual assault against those who are detained, including women. This is a clear violation of their basic human rights, and it must be stopped immediately.

Furthermore, the Pakistani government has been actively working to undermine free and fair elections, which are a cornerstone of any democratic society. They have used victimisation and harassment to create fear amongst the people, making it difficult for them to exercise their right to vote without fear of retaliation.

We, the undersigned, are writing to express our grave concern about the treatment of the leader of a political party in Pakistan. We believe that he should be given security as that of a former prime minister, all politically motivated cases against him and party members should be withdrawn, the ban on social media and print and electronic media should be lifted, and the dismantling of his political party with brutal force should be stopped immediately.

The leader of the largest political party of Pakistan PTI, IMRAN KHAN has been subjected to a campaign of harassment and intimidation by the Pakistani government, two murder attempts have already taken place. Imran Khan and his party members have been subjected to politically motivated cases, which are designed to silence them and prevent them from participating in the democratic process. This is a clear violation of their basic human rights, and it must be stopped immediately.
Furthermore, the Pakistani government has imposed a ban on social media and print and electronic media, which has prevented the leader of the political party from communicating with his supporters and the public. This is a clear violation of freedom of speech and the press, and it must be lifted immediately.

The Pakistani government has also used brutal force to dismantle the PTI, which is a clear violation of democracy and the rule of law. This must be stopped immediately, and the leader of the political party must be given the same level of security as that of a former prime minister.

Therefore, we call upon the Pakistani government to immediately withdraw all politically motivated cases against the leader of the political party and his party members, lift the ban on social media and print and electronic media, and stop the dismantling of the political party with brutal force. We also call upon the international community to take immediate action to support the democratic process in Pakistan and to hold the Pakistani government accountable for their actions.

We also call on the Pakistani government to immediately stop all forms of human rights violations, including the abduction and kidnapping of journalists, non-compliance of judicial orders, torture, sexual assaults of men and women, victimisation, and harassment. We demand that they respect the basic human rights of their citizens and uphold the principles of democracy and the rule of law.

We understand that the process of petitioning Parliament is an important part of democracy, and we are exercising our right to do so. Our petition has been signed by a significant number of people, and we believe that it reflects the concerns and interests of a large number of British Citizens.

We are confident that our petition will be given the attention it deserves, and we look forward to hearing from our elected representatives about the steps they will take to address our concerns.
