Stop Human Egg Farms in Georgia

Stop Human Egg Farms in Georgia
The Issue
It is widely known that women often don’t receive the same respect that men do. Especially women of colour. This cannot get in the way of this investigation or any. I want these women's voices to be heard and acknowledged and have what they say taken very seriously.
If everything that we are hearing is true, then human egg farms are much like modern day slavery. This past February, 2025, three Thai women escaped a human egg farm in Georgia and claimed that they were victims of trafficking. In an interview, where the women remained anonymous, they explained how young women from third world countries were tricked into going to Georgia thinking that they are going to be paid to be surrogates for Georgia couples who are unable to have children. The women soon find out that it is a scam and they are now victims of human trafficking. humanrightsresearch.org says their passports were taken away and they were told that they were in the country illegally and would be in trouble if they tried to leave. The women are then injected with hormones to stimulate their ovaries to produce more eggs. Then once a month they are anesthetized and their eggs are collected with a machine.
The egg farms are run by Chinese gangsters. They would make accounts online for each of the women and sell their eggs illegally. According to hindustantimes.com they would edit their picture and profile to make them look like middle class white women so that the people who bought the eggs wouldn’t feel bad about buying the eggs from poor women from third world countries.
The women showed the police where the house was that they were being held captive with many other women. Officers interviewed 70 women there and they all said that no one there was being held against their will and that once their contract was up, they were paid the promised amount and allowed to return home.
It is very odd that they all said the same thing, but they were all still “in captivity” so for all we know, they could’ve just been scared to tell the truth. No matter what, this is an investigation that has to be taken seriously and people need to know about what’s going on in the world.
We need to raise awareness on this topic so that women will be able to identify these ads and report them. This will help put an end to human egg farms.
If the proper safety precautions are not taken in the process of harvesting and selling the eggs, it could harm the surrogates, the recipients, and/or the children. So even if there is no harm coming to the women, the police still need to investigate everything they’re doing there to ensure that they are doing all of this correctly and safely.
By signing this petition, you can show your support in helping these women and protecting future generations. I strongly suggest that you look into and stay updated on the latest news on this topic, the more people that know the better. In-vitro fertilization (IVF) is an amazing option for couples who are unable to have children, however, there are already so many what if’s with the process that they cannot afford to make it any more risky.
Please help these women who spoke up to feel heard and acknowledged and know that they are not alone.
