This petition is important because many schools still have corporal punishment in many states, which is wrong because the state law has said if the parents spank a child then the parent is in the wrong and faces charges of child abuse and child emotional abuse, But why are the schools still aloud to spank the children what makes it right when they do it. This Law needs to pass where No child has to worry about going to school and have to face the 2 inch paddle to their rear end or maybe be sore for a week because their very sensitive when being striked.
Their is a law for child abuse, Columbus Ohio was one of the states that stopped the corporal punishment children are meant to go to school to learn not get paddled for doing the wrong thing or saying the wrong thing. My son is 6 years old and starting kindergarten in a Florida school where they still practice this in the schools im hoping to stop it in all schools that still believes in it
