Stop Hill Top Heights Subdivision in Timbercrest

Stop Hill Top Heights Subdivision in Timbercrest
The Issue
Many of us have called Timbercrest, Waco, TX, our home for decades. We cherish the sense of community, the tranquility of our neighborhood, and the safe environment for our families. However, we now face a threat from Mr. Jackson’s proposed Hill Top Heights subdivision—a development that raises significant concerns about traffic safety, infrastructure, and our neighborhood's overall wellbeing.
The proposed subdivision is set to exacerbate existing traffic issues on the loop, Kendall, and Orchard roads, which already struggle under the current load. The addition of Hill Top Heights will only increase vehicle congestion, heightening the risk for accidents and reducing our quality of life.
Moreover, Hermosa Street, a haven for children who play at the local park, will see increased traffic, posing a direct threat to their safety. Protecting our community means protecting our children from the dangers of heavy traffic.
Infrastructure-wise, Mr. Jackson’s previous Southfork development has been plagued with sewage and drainage problems, stemming from inadequate planning and foresight. We fear that the same issues will plague Hill Top Heights, endangering our homes and environment with potential runoff and drainage failures.
Beyond these logistical issues lies the fundamental concern of overcrowding. Timbercrest was never designed to accommodate such a drastic increase in population density. By cramming more people into smaller areas, we risk losing the very essence of what makes Timbercrest unique.
Our neighborhood stands against this development due to its potential to endanger our community, environment, and way of life. By voicing our concerns and standing united, we can protect Timbercrest from corporate overreach and ensure a safe, livable environment for generations to come.
We urge you to join us in opposing the Hill Top Heights subdivision. Sign this petition to let the city know that Timbercrest needs to be preserved and protected.
