As longtime residents of Hampton, we've watched as Woods Orchard has transformed from being a cherished, natural space into a looming site for high-density housing. It's undeniable: the threats posed by this development are immense and personal. From unmanageable traffic escalation to marked increases in crime and neighborhood disturbances, the damage will permeate our community irrevocably.

This proposed high-density housing, comprised of potential apartments or houses, will exacerbate the already severe traffic issues in our area. Considering Hampton's existing traffic congestion problems, this proposal threatens to make the situation almost insurmountable. Moreover, introducing a large number of new residents into our community raises concerns about potential crime increase. The anticipated rise in cut-throughs will disrupt the peaceful character of our neighborhood and pose safety risks to pedestrians, especially children.

Moreover, this project threatens our environment through increased pollution and littering. We believe that the land should be preserved as a park, serving as a lungs for our city and providing a much-needed green space for all inhabitants. 

Now, we need collective action to help preserve our environment, safety, and way of life. We beseech our local authorities, and city stakeholders, to halt these plans and rethink zoning. We need you to answer our distress call and act in the best interest of all Hampton residences.
