I was a recovery worker in the aftermath of 9/11. I worked alongside so many others and didn’t care about their religion or political views. My only concern was helping my city—my neighbors. I cared about healing and love.

1. Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms must enforce stricter monitoring and removal of hateful commentary on threads related to 9/11.
2. Online community forums dedicated to 9/11 should provide clear guidelines that promote respectful dialogue.
3. Content creators and influencers can set examples by sharing messages of unity and love on this solemn day and remind people of the impact of their words.
