On Monday, February 27 Silver creek announced their new innovation for late students, called hallway sweeps. These sweeps happen randomly twice a week. Right, when the bell rings, an announcement is made to tell all teachers to lock late students out, so when they get caught in the hallway, they get after-school detention. I, Nahom Besefat, think that this is an injustice and a major safety risk. There could be a hall sweep during an event that can lead to someone getting severely injured. Also, the afterschool detention distributed due to the hallway sweeps can cause people to have conflicts in their sports practices, family conventions, and other events to go to after school. By signing this petition you stop these hall sweeps. The goal for next week is 100!
