The Issue

We, the autocycle community, strongly oppose H.R. 3385, a federal bill that poses a significant threat to our passion and way of life. This bill seeks to redefine motorcycles, effectively excluding autocycles. This change could have devastating consequences for countless owners and enthusiasts across the United States.

Autocycles, encompassing unique and innovative vehicles like the Campagna T-Rex, Polaris Slingshot, and Vanderhall, have been a beloved part of the American automotive landscape. These vehicles are legally owned, registered, and safely operated by thousands of Americans who cherish the freedom and excitement they provide. The introduction of H.R. 3385 threatens this freedom by potentially stripping these vehicles of their legal standing, leaving their owners in a precarious situation.

There is no justifiable reason to exclude autocycles from their current classification. Doing so would not only disrupt the daily lives of many drivers but also hinder the growth and innovation within the 3-wheel community. The autocycle market has supported countless jobs, from manufacturers to service providers, contributing significantly to the economy and the spirit of automotive innovation.

Proponents of H.R. 3385 may argue that this redefinition is necessary for safety regulations; however, current evidence suggests that autocycles have a stellar safety record when compared to traditional motorcycles. Instead of penalizing them, we should be celebrating their advancements in safety technologies and design.

We implore lawmakers to halt the progression of H.R. 3385 and engage with autocycle enthusiasts, manufacturers, and safety experts to find a viable solution that respects our rights and supports the continued growth of the 3-wheel community.

Sign this petition to tell Congress to protect the rights of autocycle owners and preserve the future of this innovative mode of transportation.
